Translation // Thursday we went to Geneva for the day, mostly to do a bit of shopping but also to have a look around the city. The sun was shining, and the sky was perfectly blue and it was incredibly beautiful with all the swans on the lake and the mountains in the background. It was rather picture perfect! We didn't manage to explore much but instead we strolled around, had a coffee break and I made a few purchases from Chanel and got some clothes from Mango, which I will share with you another time.
I also had the pleasure of trying on a ridiculous expensive pair of earrings - it's actually a quite funny story... I saw the most beautiful pair of earrings in the window of a jeweler shop and I was admiring them for a while before deciding to move on without going inside to have a better look at them. Later when we passed again, I hadn't stopped thinking about them and we decided to go inside to see them up close, unaware of the price level of the store - it soon became clear that this store was way out of our budget and we almost fell off our chairs when we heard the price of the earrings; 23.130 Euros! There I was, trying on a pair of earrings with the same price tag as a car, truly a whopping amount and I honestly felt slightly dumb for trying them on. The man working there was super nice though and he didn't belittle us or make us feel ridiculed or anything like that, even though we had clearly ended up in the wrong place. Afterwards we have laughed about it quite a lot because it was such a comical situation. Even though I do have a rather expensive taste at times, earrings costing that much... It's absurd really and I don't think I could ever justify spending that much, even if I could afford it.
After that mind-blowing experience we had lunch a my favourite restaurant Vapiano (Mikkel calls me a connoisseur when it comes to Vapiano, whereas others would probably call me a creature of habit) but unfortunately it was a letdown and the food was very disappointing. I've had Vapiano in Germany, Finland, England, USA and Poland and never have I had such a terrible experience. The food was very bland which is far from the norm.
After finishing our late lunch we headed back to the campsite near Annecy and spent the rest of the evening by playing board games and relaxing.
