Translation // A friend of mine asked me how the food in Dubai was, to which I didn't really know what to reply. Dubai is filled with American restaurant and fastfood chains. It actually seemed that you had to search for local places to eat. It certainly wasn't local specialities that filled us up during our stay.
On our last night in Dubai we had dinner at TGI Fridays, the epitome of USA when it comes to food. The restaurant is located overlooking the ski facilities in The Mall of Emirates. The food was quite good, we were definitely full and satisfied. We spent some time after dinner just walking around before going to the movies to watch How to be Single in New York, a fantastically entertaining movie, in this case with both French and Arabic subtitles - I guess there's a first for everything.
